Gamay

Hey! It is us from La Prova. We love making textural, savoury and delicious wines from Italian grape varieties grown in Australia. Now and again we come across something that we just can’t resist, that doesn’t quite fit the brief. So even though there is a small amount of Gamay grown in Italy, it is France we look to as the OG. What’s exciting is the future of Gamay here in the Adelaide Hills, a perfect region/variety combination for the future.

We haven’t made one of these since 2023, so if you see any kicking about, jump on ‘em!
